Biography

I have been involved with a variety of music projects since the 80’s, I was singing with the hard working Soul & Blues cover band Rednex & Blue, then started writing more self compositional songs in collaboration with the late Joe Ross and the band The Big Picture. Then went on to record an album with the Stewartry band Betrayal, ‘Rattlesnake Waltz’ was released through Probe records in Liverpool in 1988.

Moved south and got involved with a dance music collective in Norfolk through the early 90’s.

Drifted into London, started writing more & more songs, came back to Galloway in the year 2000 with a substantial catalogue of material. Went on to form the band Quirkus with Blackie, Pete Garnett, Skinny and Nicola Black, and with input from Ali Paxton and brass arrangements from David Sanderson recorded the album Farewell to Treebeard.

As of this past few months a second Quirkus album is currently in the process of being recorded.

Most recently embarked on a ‘solo’ recording project, assisted by some great musicians and the CD Sound in your Stride has now been released.
